Hamburger Goulash

Busy parents come up with quick and easy meals that their kids like. This was one the we frequently saw during our formative years.

Preparation: 45 minutes Heirloom Recipe
Serves 4 to 6 persons Cora Margaret
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced green peppers
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced and sautéd tender
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup - you can also use cream of celery soup
  • 1 pound wide egg noodles, cooked al dente in salted water
Procedure
  1. Cook noodles in salted water until al dente tender. Drain and rinse.
  2. Brown meat; drain fat. Sauté vegetables until tender.
  3. Add soup and chili powder, stir and simmer 10 minutes.
  4. Serve over noodles.
