Barbecue Beans

This is a "new family" recipe. In this one, Peggy takes a good product and adds her own touch to make it better. She starts with Bushe’s Baked Beans with Bacon and Brown Sugar.

Preparation: 20 minutes, Cooking: 3 hours New Family Recipe
Serves 4 Peggy Jones
Ingredients:
  • 1 28-ounce can baked beans
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons catsup
  • Dash Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon molasses
  • ¼ cup chopped onions
  • 3 strips bacon, chopped
  1. Partially cook bacon pieces to render off some of the fat. Drain and discard drippings.
  2. Mix all ingredients together. Place in oven-proof casserole dish. Slow bake at 250°F for 3 hours. Serves 4 handily.
